Upcoming Events and Announcements Stayed tuned for the all-new YIWP.org, coming shortly Volunteers Needed For Bikur Cholim Bikur Cholim of Rockland is organizing an effort to set up apartments near the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for observant Jews who have family there on Shabbat. 3 to 5 volunteers are needed to help set up food in the apartments every erev Yom Tov and Shabbat. It takes no more than half an hour of time plus the ride there and back (approximately 15 min each way). It involves setting timers and putting food on the blech. This would be done between 2PM and candle lighting time (in the winter the food is delivered much earlier so it won't be so last minute before an early Shabbat.) Volunteers are also needed to take the food off the blech and unplug the hot water after Shabbat or Yom Tov. This takes even less time and a few volunteers are needed to do this on Saturday nights so that no one will be obligated to go over there more than once a month. For more information, please contact Judy Tretin. ============ Young Israel of White Plains Featured in Jewish Week Article. Click here.
