Youth Directors

We are thrilled to be welcoming Haggai and Reut Reiss along with their two children Shachar and Ma’ayan to our community!  They come to White Plains from  Alon Shvut in Gush Etzion.  In addition to their role at YIWP, they will also be serving as Shlichim at Westchester Torah Academy. 

Reut has a professional background in business administration and marketing. She also has her own photography company and has worked as an Aliyah Coordinator and a Shlichut Coordinator. Reut was the Director of the Karnei Shomron Bnei Akiva branch and a Shlicha at the L’Ecole Maimonides School  in Montreal, Canada. Reut enjoys  cooking, reading, exercising and organizing events. 

Haggai earned his Masters in Education and Jewish Philosophy.  He has worked as a Special Education teacher at Derech Avot High School in Efrat as well as a Grade Coordinator  and Educator at Neve Shmuel High School in Efrat. He has guided children and families through their Bar Mitzvahs.  He served as a commander in the Nachal  Brigade and finished with excellence. Haggai embraces working with children with varying abilities and challenges and enjoys adapting his approach to meet each child’s individual needs while creating an inclusive atmosphere. He has many fond memories from his childhood being part of his parents' Shlichut programs including in Belgium, where he was born. Haggai loves agricultural work, playing piano and guitar, and being an exercise instructor. 

We are very excited for them to join the YIWP family!
